"Clasp me close in your warm young arms,
While the pale stars shine above,
And we’ll live our whole young lives away
In the joys of a living love."
As I typed that poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, I teared up thinking of the special love that Kelsey and James share. James proposed to Kelsey with his grandmother's ring a few weeks ago and we met up for engagement photos last week.
Kelsey is my oldest, best friend, so naturally nothing but the best would do for her. I fully believed she wouldn't find a match for her sharp intellect, quick and biting wit, innovative ideas, passion for life, lyrical vocabulary, and tons of hobbies that she masters more quickly than I can finish a novel. And yet, when James proposed, I had a settled, calm, happy feeling settle over me. I knew Kelsey had found the one.
James and Kelsey travel together in their self-designed & self built solar-powered camper van with their two adorable rescue pups. Together they can accomplish anything, and I know that marriage will feel natural and perfect for them. The poem above describes a couple living their whole young lives together in love, which is perfect for Kelsey and James. As long as they're together, they will be young at heart. Maybe that sounds cliche, but it's 100% true.
Kelsey and James, thank you for letting me share this special time with you. I hope you love these photos as much as I do.
