Confession time: I never liked the snow.
That's right. I'm a Vermonter through and through, but I DON'T LIKE THE SNOW. That feeling when it creeps into your boot and gets your socks wet. Scraping the icy windshield off at 6am. Not for me!
But when I realized how magical snow makes portraits look, I completely changed my tune. Now I feel lucky to have to shovel my driveway before a session, because I know that it'll take the photos from amazing to out of this world.
My session with the Campbell family restored my obsession with snowy portraits. The day before our session, it was rainy and muddy. Our session was overcast, and everything looked pretty flat. But then, like magic, fat flakes started drifting down, and Church Street became a winter wonderland.
I am OBSESSED with these photos, and this gorgeous family was so sweet to work with. Their 6 month old daughter Eleanor (festively dressed as a fox) was smiley and cheerful despite the 23 degree day we had.
Campbell family, THANK YOU! I adore your little family and hope you have a very special holiday season.
