List of Preferred Vendors
It is DAUNTING (to say the least!) to begin wedding planning and realize there's 10,000 things to coordinate. Aaaand for each thing, there's 1,000 great options.
I created this vendor list to guide my couples through this process. Each vendor is listed here because of their outstanding five-star work and their lovely personalities.
When you book a vendor, I would suggest looking for three things:
1.) You immediately feel cared for. This person is going to have a huge responsibility, so you want to feel as if you can let them take the reigns. You trust their artistic vision.
2.) They have a great personality. Not only is this ideal vendor professional with a five-star rating, they are fun to be around!
3.) Their body of work is consistent with your vision. Make sure you pour over their portfolios and website and that what you're asking for is something you are seeing reflected in their work.
For example, I get many clients who ask for dark and moody portraits. I LOVE that style of photography, but that is not how I photograph weddings (my photos are generally lighter and airy).
The vendors listed below put their hearts into what they do, and it shows in their work. Many are based in Vermont or can travel. Click on their names to check out their website, and tell them Anne Mientka sent ya! ;)
Tourterelle in New Haven, VT
The owner is amazing, the space is gorgeous, staff is friendly, and the food is perfect. There's a pond with ducks. What's not to like?
Beautiful any time of year. Lake views are stunning (and eagle sightings are frequent here).
The staff is great, and the ceremony view is stunning!
This space is ELEGANT. Stay in the Porter Mansion in their bridal suite and you'll never want to leave.
It's in a Quintessential VT setting and a has a very friendly staff.

Charlotte also creates custom Snapchat filters, which guests absolutely love!

Heather works efficiently and makes sure you and your wedding party love your look.
These bands are great for ceremony music (live ceremony music really ups your game, trust me) and cocktail hour.
Randal is a musical genius. He plays piano and specializes in jazzy greatness. He also has an extremely impressive resume.
Warm water vocalist Hannah's smooth, bluesy voice is accompanied by jazzy instrumentals. Some covers, some originals.
Mae plays guitar and ukulele, and specializes in romantic ceremony music. She'll play a few originals and mostly covers.
Carmen is just fabulous. She has the most soothing voice and has a way of making ceremonies both funny and tear-jerking. She is a pro and it shows when she makes a point to step into the aisles or around the venue so that I can get shots of you without her in them.
Vince Liotta from Experience Events Vince knows how to get the party started. He is charismatic and plays great music.
Shana from Sweet Babu
