Anna and Andrew married last Saturday under the moon on the edge of a forest where Anna's parents live. The crisp air was met with hot drinks and a celebratory atmosphere.
Since talking with Anna on the phone last year about her wedding, I had been excited to finally meet her. Though, I felt as though I already had. And at her wedding, everyone I talked to said the same thing about her: "I met Anna, and I felt like I'd known her forever."
Anna has that warm, genuine personality and a salty sense of humor. She is also a blond BOMBSHELL, and when she stepped out of hair and makeup on her wedding day with a red lip and voluminous hair, the bridesmaids and I nearly fainted. She looked so classic, and when she stepped into her gown (it had pockets, ya'll), she looked breathtaking!
The florals were designed by Anna's maid of honor and sister Serena, who did an absolutely amazing job.
And when Andrew saw Anna, it was possibly one of the cutest first looks I've witnessed. Andrew, who was looking handsome in a velvet suit jacket, was SHOOK. They had such a sweet moment just to themselves, overlooking a pond and their wedding tent. It was magic, and I could have spent hours photographing them dancing in the woods.
The outdoor ceremony was full of personal touches, including a sand ritual wherein family and friends added dirt from various special places to a glass jar for the couple to treasure. The 100-or-so-guests cheered as they kissed and walked down the aisle and made their way to their gorgeous reception tent.
Spirits were high for the reception, and the couple had signature drinks and lots of personal touches (like the A+A cookie table! Loved that). My favorite moment of the whole day though, was Anna and Andrew's first dance. Anna WROTE AND SANG a gorgeous love song to surprise Andrew, and it was absolutely perfect. I had no idea Anna had a set of pipes on her! She did a fantastic job, and everyone was in tears!
Anna and Andrew, congratulations on your happy marriage. I know you're living it up on your honeymoon right now, and I'm so happy for you! Thanks for having me be a part of your big day. xoxo
