I met Christina and Tony last year for their engagement photos, before they really had a wedding plan set in stone yet. They drove 16 hours from North Carolina to look around at venues and take their engagement photos. I remember leaving the session thinking, "Please just elope in VT so that I can photograph you again!" You can imagine my delight when they reached out, saying they had booked a venue and would love for me to photograph their October 2019 Vermont wedding.
Christina and Tony are absolute sweethearts. They both said they felt nervous but ready the morning of their wedding. I loved that despite being a destination wedding, they had SO many friends and family show up for their important day. I want to shout out to Amy and the rest of the bridesmaids, who were so incredibly helpful! Christina's mother was also extremely on top of everything, and it was clear that she wanted everything to be perfect for her daughter. They all made Christina have the best morning ever, which made for some pretty incredibly photos.
There were a lot of details I loved about this wedding, and I could write about them all day. BUT, my top 3 (if I HAD to choose) were:
1. The blind "first look." Christina wanted to take a photo with Tony without them seeing each other, so Tony walked blindfolded through the bridal suite to take a photo with Christina (see below). I just love that Christina wanted to simply hold his hand before the ceremony.
2. The blankets. The couple had a big pile of warm fleece blankets ready for guests at the ceremony space. Many guests were from North Caroline, Florida, and Georgia, so the chilly VT fall definitely warranted an extra layer.
3. The dresses. These shades of blue were absolutely gorgeous and timeless.
Christina and Tony, THANK YOU for such a special day, and for being the wonderful humans you are. I wish you all the best in what I'm sure will be an exciting & beautiful future.
