Emma and James’ Rooftop Burlington Session

March 26, 2020

Thank you so much to Emma and James for meeting me on a frigid, sunny, social-distancing day last week for some romantic photos! These two have a gorgeous chemistry that was a pleasure to photograph.

I’m sure my readers understand when I say that current events have created a huge amount of stress, and stress does not breed creativity. I had felt incredibly uninspired. Between worrying about my upcoming sessions and weddings, rescheduling everything until mid-April, and simply feeling helpless, I just did NOT want to create. I felt at once panicked, knowing I needed new content– and too lethargic and drained to do anything about it. (We all probably felt that way.) After I did my fair share of sulking, sleeping in, and avoiding, I knew that I could either lose my mind worrying or accept what I can’t change and look for inspiration around me.

I’d always wanted to bring a couple to the Burlington rooftops during sunset. The golden and then blue hour was perfect for epic lighting and scenery. These two, always dapper and smiling, were exactly what I needed to feel hopeful and renewed. I hope my couples know the power in that, and know my much they make my world go ’round.

Don’t forget that I’m running a HUGE elopement AND album sale. Aaaaaaand there is one MORE huge sale coming up… details next week. 🙂
