Kelly and Chris wanted some classic Vermont fall photos to celebrate their engagement. We met up downtown in both a park and on Church Street for some variety, and I LOVED that we did that!
(Doesn’t “Chris and Kelly” have a TV sitcom ring to it? I’d certainly watch a TV based on these two.)
Chris and Kelly showed up dressed to the 9s (I can't stop staring at Kelly's Louboutin boots), and they were so incredibly in love that it made hanging out with them a true joy. They were telling me their proposal story (Chris, in an effort to outdo all proposal stories, popped the question in PARIS in front of the Eiffel Tower). The two wanted some engagement photos taken in Vermont because it is so near and dear to their hearts.
I recognize that showing affection and being lovey-dovey in front of a stranger (me, and passersby on Church Street) can be foreign and feel bizarre at first. Chris and Kelly were so comfortable and were able to treat their session as a cute date. As I instructed Chris to give his lady some love, a passerby said, “DO IT! I’M NOT LOOKING” and she covered her eyes and hurried past. It was so cute and managed to get some wonderful, natural smiles from the couple—so thank you, kind stranger!!!
I loved the structure of their session, because they had their dressier outfits on for Church Street photos, and then a more casual, cute and cozy look for the second half of their session in an open field (Kelly’s hat gives me life. Red is your color, girl). This gives them a great variety of photos to choose from!
Thank you two for taking the huge drive to meet me for these photos, and for gifting me WINE! So cute and thoughtful (and necessary for Thanksgiving weekend, haha.)
