Congratulations to Erik and Lindsay, who eloped on Saturday morning! They knew from the beginning they’d need to get married on 7/25. It is both of their parents’ anniversaries, and keeping that date meant the world to them. My friend and officiant Kerri, along with Lindsay and Erik’s son Benny (and dog Louie) were the only witnesses to their vows– and they were absolutely beautiful. I loved seeing their reactions to each other’s carefully-chosen words and getting that documented on camera.

The morning was breezy and sunny, still cool ahead of a 90 degree afternoon. The cabin the couple found on Airbnb was the perfect setting for these photos, and a meadow and pond below was a wonderful backdrop.

“We would have eloped even without COVID,” Lindsay told me. “We aren’t much for big crowds, and we wanted it to be just us.” Lindsay wore a beautiful gown, and Erik looked handsome in his suit. Benny, who kept losing his shoes, looked adorable in a matching suit/chinos set.

We spent the morning taking photos, and even in the muggy heat, these two were gorgeous. The chemistry between them was romantic and gentle: a hand offered while crossing a rocky path, a hand hold as they walked.

Thank you so much to Erik and Lindsay for a perfect morning. I wish you all the best in your happy marriage!
