CONGRATULATIONS to Seth and Emma, who brought baby Callen home earlier this month! These new parents are adjusting to less sleep, and coping during COVID. We met up yesterday to take family/newborn photos, because although Emma is a photographer herself, she isn't often IN the photos!
"We wanted to keep Callen's sex a surprise... to sort of give us a special moment to look forward to during the birth," Emma explained. After a long pregnancy full of oranges and ice cream cravings, Callen was born on July 3. Emma and Seth say he looks just like Emma when she was a baby. Callen is easygoing, sweet, and so extremely alert. "He loves being outside," Seth told me. It was true: when we were outside, Callen could not get enough of the wooded area where Emma and Seth's beautiful Chittenden County home is tucked away.
As for pregnancy during COVID, Emma and Seth predictably had an anxiety-fueled time. "You just have to find the positivity in all of this," Seth told me. "I wouldn't have been able to spend so much time at home with Callen, and that is worth everything to me."
Thank you two so much for inviting me to your home, and congratulations-- Callen is beautiful and I am so happy for you!
